From father to son, the Fouassier family has been an important winery in Sancerre for generations. Over the years, they have gained all the experience needed to produce good wines. The winery now owns 40 hectares planted with Sauvignon Blanc and 20 hectares of Pinot Noir.
The winery is now run by the 9th and 10th generations of the Fouassier family. Through variations in the soil (clay, chalk and gravel) they are able to lend distinctiveness to the different cuvées.
The Fouassier family use one and the same method for producing their wines, justifying their motto of ‘respect for the soil variety’.
