Selected Wines general terms of delivery

  1. These terms apply to all special offers, orders and agreements of Selected Wines. Changes are only valid if they have been agreed in writing. The minimum purchase is 12 bottles.
  2. The terms of delivery are accessible to everyone and are available on the website of Selected Wines. A copy will be sent to you upon request.
  3. Selected Wines does not provide any alcoholic products to persons below the age of 18 years.
  4. All special offers of Selected Wines are free of obligations. At all times, Selected Wines reserves the right to withdraw special offers. All special offers are valid on the basis of availability. Price changes may be introduced at all times.
  5. If you are not satisfied with an item, you may return the unopened bottles to Selected Wines and you will be reimbursed with the value of the returned items ("not satisfied, money back"). You are responsible for returning the bottles to Selected Wines in a good condition. The return address is Opaalstraat 14, 1812 RH in Alkmaar, the Netherlands.
  6. All prices are quoted in EUR and are clearly indicated on the website. The prices provided on the website include excise duties and VAT, but exclude delivery costs.
  7. During the ordering process, the buyer may select one of the payment options available on the website.
  8. All invoices will be paid by the buyer, in accordance with the method selected by the buyer.
  9. When an order is placed on the website, the buyer receives an e-mail with information about the order he/she has placed through the e-mail address provided.
  10. Deliveries are possible within the Netherlands, United kingdom, Germany and Belgium.
  11. When – for whatever reason¬ – the agreed delivery period is not met by Selected Wines, Selected Wines will inform the buyer about this (via e-mail, mobile telephone or telephone). In that case, the buyer has the right to cancel the agreement with Selected Wines, by means of written notification (via e-mail or letter) to Selected Wines.
  12. Any payments that may already have been made by the buyer in terms of the abovementioned article, will be reimbursed to the bank or giro account of the buyer as soon as is possible, but in any case within fourteen (14) working days after receipt by Selected Wines of the request for cancellation of the agreement as mentioned in the article above.
  13. Selected Wines reserves the right to make partial deliveries to the buyer, which means the order may be dispatched in two or more deliveries.
  14. All goods delivered to the buyer remain the property of Selected Wines, until all amounts owed by the buyer for the goods delivered in accordance with the agreement, have been fully paid to Selected Wines.
  15. The risk during the transport of the product ordered by the buyer is for Selected Wines. At the moment of delivery of the product, or the moment that can reasonably be considered to be a delivery, the risk of the product transfers to the buyer, except for the liabilities that cannot legally be excluded by Selected Wines.
  16. Selected Wines reserves the right to deliver a vintage of a following year if the offered vintage is no longer available. Selected Wines does not need to inform the buyer about this beforehand.
  17. Selected Wines is not obliged to comply with any obligation if it was prevented to do so as a result of a circumstance for which it cannot be held responsible, or for which it cannot be held accountable in terms of the law, in terms of a legal act or in terms of views that apply to trade. These circumstances include an interruption of operations at the company, a problem with the Internet connection, delays in transportation, a strike and late or non-delivery by suppliers.

  19. Selected Wines will do its best to solve problems as rapidly as possible. Selected Wines will inform the buyer about this in writing (via fax, letter or e-mail).
  20. The personal details provided by the buyer will be entered in a file. These details will be used for the implementation of the order placed by the buyer.
  21. This information may also be used to keep the buyer up-to-date with regard to the business and services of Selected Wines, if the buyer gave permission to do so by subscribing to the newsletter.
  22. The processing of the details of the buyer will take place in accordance with the appropriate laws and regulations. Selected Wines does not share personal details with third parties and takes measures to ensure that third parties cannot acquire this information.
  23. The intellectual property rights related to the Selected Wines website, which include software, search methods, texts, and images belong to Selected Wines. The copying and/or processing of information are not allowed without prior written permission by Selected Wines.
  24. Buyers and visitors to the Selected Wines website should fully and unreservedly respect all intellectual and industrial property rights attached to the services and products delivered by Selected Wines.
  25. The Dutch law applies to all special offers, orders en agreements of Selected Wines.
  26. All correspondence on the basis of these terms and conditions of purchase will take pace with Selected Wines, Opaalstraat 14, 1812 RH in Alkmaar, the Netherlands.
